Hello~! We are Nadine and Kathleen, a couple of new year 7's from Huia 2 at The Gardens School.
The differences we have noticed already from year 6 are:
- Each student from Huia 2 has to have at least one responsibility as in Wet day monitor, Road patroller, Councillor, House leader etc.
- We are slowly developing our knowledge in the Spanish language and we may even get to learn a little bit of le francais as well
- The uniforms have changed from brown shorts and culottes into black shorts and skirts or skorts.
- Intermediate expectations are higher than year 6.
- We have to make the right choices as our motto is 'Lead Proudly' which means we are role models for the rest of the school.
- Compared to year 6 we have a lot more homework to complete and we have to really work on our presentation as well.
So far, it has been such an amazing experience and we are looking forward to achieving our goals and being proud leaders.
